10 pain-free weight loss methods

Many people try to lose weight with the help of different methods, some of them more difficult to follow than others. If you are one of those people, it’s the right time for me to tell you that all you are doing is wasting time and energy, because there are more simple and efficient ways of losing weight. All you have to do is change your way of life, not for a certain amount of time, but forever.

This way, you will not only lose weight, but you will also keep it off! This is what you have to do:

1. Eat more food, but fewer calories. There are many people out there who are trying to lose weight by cutting out certain foods groups completely. Don’t do that, because it’s not the way to go. Every food type is important for your body’s well-being, so just increase your healthy food intake instead and eat a lot of fruit and vegetables.

2. Forget exercising. By doing exercises that you don’t like, you will only make things unbearable. So, in order to avoid this, try to find workout methods that you do enjoy, anything that you think will make you burn those calories away.

3. Just walk. Even if you don’t have more than five minutes available daily. Just make sure that you spend it wisely. You will enjoy it, especially if the weather is nice.

4. Try the light versions of your favorite foods. We all have cravings, the question is how do we deal with them. The way I see it, you have two choices. You can either keep your old eating habits, which means eating the same junk food as before, or you could turn your life around by getting rid of these bad habits. This means eliminating all the excesses in a way that allows you to enjoy them and still be able to lose weight.

5. Hydration is essential. When trying to lose weight, it is very important to have a reduced calorie intake. So, by drinking a glass of water before a meal, you will reduce your chances of overeating. The logic behind it is that you might be mistaking hunger for thirst.

6. Share. The idea is to go Dutch as far as your meals are concerned and share with someone. You can do the same with a gym membership or, even better, rent a bicycle for two. You can do anything that doesn’t involve eating or working out alone.

7. Increase your activity level. Instead of just lying down to watch TV, get a stationary bike and exercise while your favorite show is on or do cardio boxing while you watch an action movie. You can also try to get motivated by watching high-energy exercise DVDs. Anything, as long as you like what you are doing.

8. Eat smaller portions. The amount of food you eat is directly proportionate to the size of your plates. So if you want to eat less, you must buy smaller plates, cups, bowls and spoons. The logic behind this is that if you eat a full plate of food, your body will think that is has received enough.

9. Get rid of boredom. We’ve all been there at a certain point: you get home, you have nothing to do, you sit down to watch TV and before you know it, you are eating crappy food. Does it sound familiar? Well, if you want to stop this from happening, you must do something, anything, in order to chase that boredom away.

10. You can keep your new figure. According to certain studies, weight loss requires less effort as time passes and although keeping those pounds off can sometimes be difficult, it’s definitively worth it, because this way you will feel good, not only physically, but mentally as well.
